It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty deaths of two members of IAFF Local 282 – Buffalo, New York.  Lt. Charles “Chipper” McCarthy, 45, and Fire Fighter Jonathan Croom, 34, both died on Monday, August 24, 2009 while battling a commercial building fire.
